Supplementary Insurance to the Joint Sickness Insurance Scheme (JSIS) for EU Officials and Servants
OCA have the pleasure to present you our partnership with Allianz Care, who have been selected by Afiliatys as the health insurance administrator for HospiSafe, the supplementary insurance cover to the Joint Sickness Insurance Scheme (JSIS) for EU Officials and Servants, since January 2020.

Home Insurance

- Multi-risk home and private life: whether you own or rent houses or flats, a multi-risk insurance policy protects your property and its contents from fire, glass breakage and damage due to storms, water, snow or natural disasters, with additional cover options.
- Secondary residence
This insurance can be combined with the Personal Liability Insurance.
Property and Valuables Insurance
Valuables can be included in your home insurance when you subscribe additional guarantees. However, the amount is limited and it would be more advantageous to take out a specialized insurance policy, especially:
- If the total value of your valuables exceeds 40% of the capital sum insured
- if the value of one of your belongings is higher than 4'000€

Tip : for your valuables, remember to photograph them and scan the invoices that will justify their presence and value.

Insurance of Individuals
Personal Liability Insurance
Personal Liability Insurance protects you from any financial consequences in the case you are responsible for any unintentional damage to a third party. In many cases, this insurance is a complementary guarantee to your home insurance.
Retirement Insurance
Retirement is a pension plan insurance which may be deducted from your tax return in Luxembourg.
Death and disability insurance
Death and disability: this cover guarantees the payment of a capital sum to protect your beneficiaries in the event of death or total/partial irreversible disability.
Tip: In Luxembourg, it is possible to deduct life insurance premiums for tax purposes. Do not hesitate to ask us for advice.
Housing Loan Insurance - Credit Protection Insurance
When buying a property in Luxembourg, the bank often requires an additional guarantee to insure the loan: the Credit Protection Insurance. This guarantee covers the reimbursement to the bank of all, or part of, the remaining outstanding sum in the event of the death of the insured.
This insurance is often combined with a total and permanent disability guarantee.
Tip: with this insurance, the premium paid to the insurer are tax deductible in Luxembourg under certain conditions. For personal advice, please contact us.

While on holiday travel insurance is always useful and can take several forms:

Tip: Travel insurance must be taken out at the same time as the travel reservation is made, and at least 24 hours before in the case of vehicle assistance extension.

The insurance for Computer Data Insurance & Cyber Attack Protection covers:

Tip: Solutions are often expensive and the costs for specialised assistance quickly escalate and so we advise a combination with legal protection that can assist in protection from these risks.
Legal Protection Insurance
Legal Protection Insurance provides advice and support in the event of disputes. It provides contact with qualified lawyers who can respond to any questions, draft your communication and manage conflicts out of court. It covers the costs of the procedure.
Tip: This insurance is often linked to home insurance and protects in the event of a dispute with an employer. However, an extension of cover must be taken out to cover vehicles.
